HAIR CHOP TO FIND A CURE FOR ANGELMAN SYNDROME 

I dreamt about having a daughter who would be beautiful, sassy, and strong. In my dream, she talked a lot like so much that I had to ask her to be quiet for 2 minutes :D Being a girl, I assumed her to be a quick learner, running around the house and growing up to be a sprinter just like me ?? She would be sharp in her studies but also creative. I wanted her to pursue a career of her liking, travel the world, and for her to make her own choices. Like every parent, I wished for her to be healthy and that she would grow up to be an independent, content woman!

My dream was fulfilled with the birth of Arika, my warrior princess. She sure is beautiful, sassy and so strong. She is also very stubborn just like her mother which gives me the hope that the missing parts of my dream that have not been fulfilled so far, would soon be with her grit and determination. She works hard, each day, every day! We both do..

But for Arika to live her fullest life, she needs the CURE. So, to raise funds and awareness, I have decided to chop of my long tresses. And while I am at it, I will also be donating my hair to a charity that uses them to make wigs for sick children.
